Mary Poppins, by PL Travers
“Now, boys,” said Mrs. Banks, suddenly noticing her children, “what are you doing here? This is Mary Poppins, your new nanny. Jane and Michael, say hello to the lady."
Jane and Michael didn't like their old nanny. They also weren't sure they would like the new one: Mary Poppins.
They quickly changed their minds when they saw her slide down the banister – and then pull out several exciting things from a completely empty carpet bag.
Now their only concern is that she doesn't leave, as Mary Poppins only promised to stay "until the winds change direction."
“Mary Poppins is the Good Fairy we’re all looking for.”
