«If a stranger came to the small Swedish town and one day happened to pass by a certain place in the surrounding area, they would see the Villekulla House. The house doesn't have much to see: it's just another old house, falling down, in the middle of a garden full of weeds, but the stranger could perhaps stop and ask himself who lived there and why there was a horse on the porch. If it were really very late, almost night, and if you saw a girl in the garden pacing back and forth as if she had no intention of going to bed, you might think:
